An authentic peasant Romanian blouse handmade by artisans, this is one of the original models of embroidered tops which influenced the hippie style, the bohemian fashion of the 70s and nowdays designers for their cottage core inspired collection. The traditional geometric pattern embroidery is hand sewn by artisans with cotton and silk thread. For this blouse, one artisan spends three weeks to create the embroidery. The blouse has a smock collar neckline, adjustable for wearing on shoulders or off shoulder.

Authentic short-sleeved created by artisans from Breaza with traditional Romanian, embroidered entirely by hand on 100% white linen cloth cotton fabric.
A delicate Romanian Blouse ( ie) , suitable for a bohemian outfit. The embroidered pattern is specific to the Wallachian area - Prahova Valley, where 40 years ago the Breaza House Art ( Arta Casnica) was founded, a handicraft cooperative that worked linen cloth peasant blouses with traditional patterns. Adored in the 60s and 70s by celebrities and cinema stars such as Jane Birkin, Brigitte Bardot. The famous embroidery of Romanian manufacture heritage is still alive due to the skills inherited by the former workers of the Cooperative. The blouse is hand sewn with silk and cotton thread on natural colored fabric.
Three vertical rows of embroidery are sewn on the front of the blouse, the sleeved are richly decorated with the folk geometric pattern.
The neckline is adjustable and can be worn both in the wider version and tight at the base of the neck.

The time of execution is about 4 weeks depending on the embroidery and the available human resources to create this blouse.

Breaza is a small town in Prahova County, Romania.

From a thematic point of view, the ornamental motifs that form the decorative structure of the ies are abstract motifs with unclear thematic origin, concrete motifs inspired by nature and the environment and symbolic motifs.

The concrete motives are divided into two other groups: physiomorphic, representing phenomena from plant, animal and human life and skeomorphic, representing work tools, objects used in everyday life.

Physiomorphic motifs are divided into: phytomorphic, zoomorphic, anthropomorphic and cosmic motifs.

Phytomorphic motifs are inspired by plants, zoomorphic ones in the animal world, anthropomorphic ones are those rendered by the popular artist from his own imagination, and cosmic ones are related to celestial bodies.

According to the way they are stylized, they are divided into geometric motifs and freely drawn motifs,
and historically they are traditional or inherited motifs and newly created motifs.
Geographically, they are divided into local and immigrant motives.

The popular costume from Muntenia is wrinkled at the neck, with a ribbon, and the sleeve at the bottom ends with either a bracelet or a cuff consisting of winding the end of the sleeve and covering it with embroidery made on the thread, on the back of the sleeve, tightened with embroidered bracelet or narrow headband.
