Fashion Normcore — Artisans in Unconventional Spaces

An alternative fashion project that brought traditional artisans into hypermarkets across sixteen Romanian cities. Craftswomen sold their work and gave live weaving demonstrations in spaces where heritage had never been shown before.

The Rite of Spring — Costume Curation for Stravinsky in Paris

Blouse Roumaine Shop curated costumes and connected artisans with curators for a theatre production of Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring in Paris. Heritage fashion on the stage.

Bucharest

The First Showroom — Craftsmanship as the Only Decoration

Two birch branches, a traditional lathe bench, and the craft itself at the centre. Nothing else. After years of seeing its concept replicated, BRS opened a physical showroom in Bucharest that became a statement: craftsmanship needs almost nothing around it to be extraordinary. This aesthetic defined artisanal fashion retail in Romania.

The platform expanded from Romanian craft to the broader heritage of Eastern Europe — welcoming Ukrainian vyshyvanka and cutwork designers. The traditions of Eastern Europe are interconnected, and the platform exists to represent all of them.
