Shipping Destinations

We deliver worldwide. Each item is carefully packaged by its artisan creator and shipped directly to you. Delivery times vary depending on:

  • Producer location (Romania, Europe, or International)
  • Destination country
  • Shipping method selected at checkout
  • Production time (some items are handcrafted to order)
Estimated Delivery Times

The following are estimated timeframes from the moment your order is shipped:

  • Romania (Bucharest & nearby): 2-5 business days
  • EU countries: 5-14 business days
  • UK & Switzerland: 7-14 business days
  • USA & Canada: 10-21 business days
  • Other countries: 14-28 business days
IMPORTANT: These estimates do NOT include production time. Handcrafted items require 1-4 weeks of artisan creation. You will receive a confirmation email with the specific production timeline for your piece.
Order Tracking
  • You'll receive a tracking number via email once your item ships
  • Tracking links work with the carrier used by your producer
  • Some international shipments may have limited real-time tracking
  • If tracking hasn't updated in 10+ days, contact us at office@blouseroumaine-shop.com
Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Item weight & dimensions
  • Destination country
  • Shipping speed selected

All applicable customs duties and VAT are your responsibility for international orders.

  • Unworn, unwashed, and undamaged items
  • Original tags and packaging intact
  • Returned within 14 days of delivery

  • Items showing signs of wear, washing, or alteration
  • Items damaged due to improper care
  • Items returned after the 14-day window
  • Items missing original tags or packaging
How to Return

To initiate a return, please use the return form below or contact us at office@blouseroumaine-shop.com with the following information:

  • Your order number
  • Reason for return
  • Photo of the item (showing condition)

We'll review your request and provide a return shipping label. Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund.

Refund Process
  • Refund amount: Full purchase price (excluding original shipping)
  • Return shipping: You cover the cost (unless item is defective)
  • Processing time: 5-10 business days after we receive your return
  • Refund method: Credited to your original payment method

Note: Depending on your bank, the refund may take 3-7 days to appear in your account.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or with defects (broken seams, missing buttons, stains, etc.), please:

  1. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos
  2. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you
  3. Return shipping will be prepaid by us
  4. No need to return the defective item if replacement is approved

Folk Heritage pieces are not mass-produced industrial goods. Each piece is a unique work of traditional Romanian folk art, handcrafted by skilled artisans. These are contemporary creations rooted in centuries-old textile traditions.

Nature of Handcrafted Works

Traditional folk heritage pieces are created by hand following centuries-old techniques. Because they are handmade, each item possesses:

  • Unique variations in embroidery, color, and finish due to artisan hand-application
  • Minor natural inconsistencies inherent to the handcrafting process (not defects)
  • Individual character that reflects the artisan's skill and creative expression
  • Potential for slight variations in dimensions, seam placement, and embroidery density
Production Process & Lead Times
  • Creation time: 4-6 weeks per piece (fully handmade)
  • Each piece is a custom creation when ordered, not selected from inventory
  • Production follows traditional techniques passed down through generations
  • Shipping from Sibiu, Romania: 2-7 days to EU, 7-21 days to international destinations
Sizing & Fit for Handcrafted Pieces

Because each Folk Heritage piece is handmade to order with individual artisan creation, sizing requires careful attention:

  • We provide detailed size charts and fit guides before production
  • We strongly recommend measuring yourself and comparing to specifications before ordering
  • Communication with the artisan is possible to clarify sizing or design preferences
Return Policy for Folk Heritage Works

Given the handmade nature and artistic value of these pieces:

Standard Sale - Final (Non-Returnable): Folk Heritage pieces are considered final sale. However, if the piece arrives with an incorrect size due to a documented artisan error, we will work with the creator to either remake the piece to correct specifications or provide a refund.

What this means:

  • If you order size M and the piece is delivered as size L due to an artisan error, the artisan will recreate the piece in size M at no additional cost
  • If you change your mind about the fit after receiving the piece, this is considered a personal preference and not eligible for return
  • Return window for size disputes: 7 days from delivery (with photo documentation and communication with the artisan)
  • Defective items (broken seams, damaged embroidery, stains from production) are honored for replacement or refund per standard policy

Custom Order Terms: Custom orders are made to your exact specifications and timeline. Once production begins, changes may not be possible. Confirm all details—including measurements, colors, and design elements—before committing. Contact office@blouseroumaine-shop.com to discuss your custom piece.
FAQ - General
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship worldwide. Shipping costs and times depend on your destination. International customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfers (on request). All transactions are secure and encrypted.
Can I cancel my order?
If your item hasn't been created or shipped yet, contact us immediately at office@blouseroumaine-shop.com. We'll do our best to stop production. Once shipped, you'll need to use the return process.
Is there an exchange option?
Yes! If size or color doesn't work, we can arrange an exchange for a different size or item (particularly for Folk Heritage pieces with sizing errors). Contact us at office@blouseroumaine-shop.com with your preference. Exchanges may take additional time as the artisan creates the replacement.
FAQ - Shipping & Delivery
How long until my order ships?
This varies by producer. Some pieces ship within 2-3 days; handcrafted items like Folk Heritage take 4-6 weeks of artisan creation. You'll receive a confirmation email with the expected production and shipping timeline.
Why do handmade items take so long?
We work with artisans in Romania and across Europe creating traditional folk art. Handcrafted items aren't mass-produced—they're created with intention, following century-old techniques. The extended timeline reflects the skill and care invested in each piece.
My tracking hasn't updated. Is something wrong?
International shipments sometimes have gaps in tracking, especially crossing borders. If tracking hasn't updated in 10+ days and your item hasn't arrived, contact us at office@blouseroumaine-shop.com. We'll investigate with the carrier.
My package arrived damaged. What do I do?
Contact us within 24 hours with clear photos of the damage at office@blouseroumaine-shop.com. We'll arrange a replacement or refund immediately, and return shipping will be prepaid. No need to return the damaged item if replacement is approved.
FAQ - Returns
What's your return window?
Standard returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. Folk Heritage pieces have a 7-day window for documented sizing errors. Check the specific product page for producer policies.
Do I have to pay for return shipping?
Yes, unless the item is defective or damaged. You choose your shipping method for cost-effectiveness. For Folk Heritage sizing errors (artisan fault), we may cover return shipping—contact us for evaluation.
How long does a refund take?
We process refunds 5-10 business days after receiving your return. Depending on your bank, the funds may take another 3-7 days to appear in your account.
What if the size is wrong?
Contact us before returning. For Folk Heritage pieces with documented artisan errors, we'll remake the piece to correct specifications at no charge. Always refer to size charts before ordering—handmade variations mean each producer's sizing differs slightly.
