Braille Handmade Long Dress in White
Braille Long Dress in White has a loose voluminous fit. We use 5 meters of light-weight linen and half a meter of thick linen to achieve a flowing, airy silhouette while avoiding transparency.
The skirt has a short petticoat and three tiers. Side pockets on the upper tier are sewn with decorative embroidery. All tiers are gathered for volume and hand-stitched. The top and middle tiers have double pleats.
The top is double-layered. Neck and belt are adorned with black sparkling beads. Sleeves end in pleats and shimmering hand stitching.
Braille Alphabet embroidery uses a mix of machine embroidery, handmade appliqué, hand stitching, and beadwork. It includes Braille-coded symbols for Water, Fire, Air, Earth, and Spirit, embroidered with three types of thread.
In Ukrainian culture, the Vyshyvanka dress carries deep spiritual meaning and is traditionally passed from mother to daughter.
