There is Richelieu — the cutwork lace in which the fabric is embroidered, then cut away between the stitches so the pattern is held together by thread across open space, each round of the ivory Sarah maxi worked by hand over roughly eight hours.

There is silk appliqué, shapes of silk laid and secured onto the linen. There are hand-sewn bead inlays that catch light where the poster used gold ink. And on some pieces there is smocking at the armhole, the fabric gathered by hand into elastic honeycomb before a stitch of decoration is added.
